Ames Watchman.

Gary Goble, aged 19 years, was drowned in the Des Moines river on Thursday las seven miles from the city of Boone and the funeral services were held by Rev. Vedder Saturday afternoon. Mr. Goble was born in Ames but removed with his parents to Boone some years since. Mr. Goble of this city is an uncle of the young man and our people extend sympathy to the family in this hour of trial.
