From Story County Watchman July 23, 1897

DIED.--Monday morning the infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Connolly, just east of this city. The little one was aged 6 months and 5 days. The last rites were held at the residence and the remains laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery. The young couple are receiving the sympathy of their numerous friends in this their hour of affliction who point them to the fact that the little one has gone to the better land to await their coming. It is their only child and as such has been doubly sorrowful to them that it be taken aaway. The procession to God's Acre was very large thus showing the apprectiation in which they are held by neighbors and friends. They extend to all who have assisted them in their their hour of sorrow their sincere thanks.
