DIED.--On Sunday evening, Mrs. Julia Romane Walker, aged nearly 57 years. She was born in Rockville, Ind., and came to this place with her father Isaac Romane in 1854. She was married to Isaac Walker, Oct. 11, 1863, and resided her ever since or during the space of 30 years. Mr. Walker died in October, 1893, since which time she resided in her residence in the second ward. She was one of the pioneers of the locality and as such was widely and favorably known and her many friends will miss her greatly. For years she has been a patient sufferer and the end came as a releif to her. She leaves a number of brothers and sisters of which Mrs. J. C. Lovel of our city is one. The funeral services were held under the direction of Rev. Shrader Tuesday afternoon, who gave a discourse which was attentively listened to by a numerous assemblage of friends and relatives after which the remains were laid to rest in the Nevada cemetery beside those of her husband.
