Vivan L. Mann, 92, of Nevada, died of cancer on Sunday Aug. 26, at the Story County Medical Center in Nevada.

She was born May 4, 1909, in Nevada to George and Emily (Peterson) Kimble. She was a 1927 graduate of Milford Township school and married Gaylon F. Mann on July 28, 1928, in Sioux Ciy. She retired in 1973 from Donnelley Marketing afer 25 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Nevada and enjoyed reading and gardening. She was a lifelong resident of Nevada.

Survivors include two sons, Edwin (and Josephine) Mann of Riverside, Calif., and Gordon (and Alta) Mann of Roland; two daughters, Glendora M. Clark of Ames and Joyce (and James) Hunter of Nevada; 14 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gaylon on March 26, 1992; two brothers, Virgil Kimble and Lowell Kimble; a grandson, Rodney Mann; and a granddaugher, Cheryl Mann.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, Aug. 29, at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. A memorial fund has been established. Chet Ryan Mortuary handled arrangemens.
