From Story County Watchman March 19, 1897

Last week we noted the death of a couple of children of Mr. Knight just northwest of this city by diphtheria*, and to-day we note that the family Wednesday lost an eight year old boy from the same dread disease, the funeral takng place yesterday.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: The writer is referring to the death of Jessie and Viola Knight, daughters of Alfred T. and Amanda Louise (Center) Knight.
