Slater News: ....Mr. Benjamin Thompson, died at his home east of Slater, on Thursday, Nov. 26, 1896, aged 79 years, 7 months and 10 days. Decease was born in Shaanevik Preslegjeld, Norway, April 17, 1817 and ws joined in wedlock to Miss Inger Holmedahl of the same place in the spring of 1846. They left Norway May 7, 1854....
