From Story County Watchman March 13, 1896

Cor. Boone News, 12th.--After serious affliction little Mary Switzer peacefully fell asleep in Jesus' care, March 5th, at the home of her parents south of town. Her funeral was held at the M. E. church March 8, Rev. Harned conducting the services. Her body was lovingly laid to rest in the new cemetery.*
