Mr. Charles Crippen died at the home of his brother Henry in this city on last Sunday night, at about half past 11. Through in poor health the summons came unexpectedly to his friends. He intended to go Monday with his Mother, Mrs. Gilbert, to Marshalltown, her home. His disease was a complicated one of stomach and lung trouble. On Tuesday the remains were taken to Grundy county for burial. A short service at the home of his brother Henry Crippin, was conducted by Rev. A. B. Shrader. Fellow Odd Fellows bore him to the depot, friends attended to minister help and sympathy to the bereaved. Although known to but a few in Nevada the sudden taking away of Charley caused many to express words of sorrow and condolence to the mourning friends.
