From Story County Watchman August 30, 1895

This week word was received from Webster City that James Crowser, a former resident of Ballard Grove, had just died in that place. His age was about 40 years, and he came to this city when very young, with his parents, and remained at the Grove until a short time since, when he moved to that place. His friends are among the older residents of that part of the county, all of whom will be surprised at his early taking off.
