OBITUARY.--Mrs. Julia E. Coleman, was born in Blanford, Massachusetts, Jan. 30, 1827, died in Ames, Iowa, Sunday, Jan. 13th, 1895, making her age at time of death 67 years, 11 months and 15 days. There are three surviving children, Mrs. Sophia J. Douglass, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Terr., Mrs. Flora L. Alleman, Boone, Iowa and Mrs. Nellie M. Bosworth, Ames, Iowa. She was also the mother of Mrs. Alice Coleman Mason, who died at her home in Boone, Iowa, last April. The funeral was held at the residence of Her daughter, Mrs. Nellie M. Bosworth, of Ames, Iowa, at 9 o'clock, Wednesday a. m. Rev. R. J. Hoyt, of Davenport, officiating. The remains will be taken to Boone for burial. Mrs. Coleman's friends will sadly miss her. She was beloved by all who knew her. The grief stricken daughters have the sympathy of their many Ames friends.
SUBMITTER'S NOTE: There are many misspellings in this article. Chiefly, Colman rather than "Coleman" as the deceased's husband was Joseph Colman. "Blanford, Massachusetts" should be Blandford, and "Douglass" should be Douglas.
