DIED.--At his home in Wicheta, Kansas, on Sunday morning last, Dr. George Stitzell, aged about 63 years was a resident of this city and was one of the best physicians in the locality. He also practiced in Ames and Des Moines, but a few years ago he moved to that city where he breathed his last. He served during the rebellion as a surgeon and was a very successful one. For years he was a member of Jason D. Ferguson Post G. A. R., of this city, and held membership until he went to that state. He was a man of strong will and likes and will long be remembered for his good qualities which endeared him to many here and elsewhere. He leaves a wife and family to mourn his loss, who receive the sympathy of all in this their hour of affliction and sorrow.
