DIED.--On Monday morning, Nov. 12, at Salt Lake City, Dr. J. L. Winsett of this city. The remains reached this place Wednesday night and yesterday the last rites in this city were held at the Presbyterian church, Rev. Hugh Jack, of Des Moines, officiating, assisted by the pastor of that church, Rev. Milne and and local clergy of the other denominations. The Odd Fellows turned out in force and escorted the remains to the church, thence it was started upon the 5:32 train by of Des Moines and Kansas City for Butler, Mo., where it will be interred aside the remains of the mother and sister of the departed. His age was 30 years, 3 months and 29 days. He was a ntive of Waterloo, Iowa, and later went with his parents to Butler, Mo. He graduated with high honors at the Chicago Homeopathic College in 1891. He then located in Nevada and soon secured a large practice, having proven himself one of the leading physicians in the county. For a long time he had been ailing and at last it was decided that it was best to change climate and the west was thought the best. Be went to Salt Lake City accompanied by his brother where he breathed his last amidst strangers, though out townsman Otis Briggs and wife were in that city at the time and were at the bedside when the last came, thus showing his brother who was with him that he was not entirely among strangers.

During services the stores of this city were closed and other evidences of sorrow manifested.
