DIED.--Early Tuesday morning after a lingering illness, George W. Kinney, aged about 50 years. He has been a resident of this city for a great many years, and was well and favorably known to all. He served in a New England regiment during th rebellion and his death resulted from a gun shot wound in the hand which he received in the line of duty. The arm could have been cut off, but even then the chances were that it would not have had the desired result, although it might have somewhat extended his lease on life. The funeral was held at his residence on Wednesday under the directions of Nevada Lodge of Masons who thus showed their appreciation of him as a member and citizen. The sermon was by companion Rev. Ferguson, a member of 3x3 Chapter of Masons of this city, all under the direction of Senior Warden McCall acting as W. M., in place of Bro. King, who was unavoidably absent. The Grand Army also turned out in good number and marched with the Masonic order in the cemetery where the final obsequies were duly observed and the appropriate emblem duly deposited. Mr. Kinney was one of the best men in the city, and his loss will be deeply regretted by all, and each and every on extend their sympathy to the bereaved family, a wife and children, who are left to mourn his loss.
