The Ames Watchman

The sad news announcing the recent affliction of Mrs. Moore, of Davenport, Iowa, (formerly of Ames) reached her friends a few days ago. The letter stated that on Friday a married daughter, of Mrs. Moore, who has been in California died there of Consumption; this was a great sorrow to Mrs. M., and family but on the following Thursday Miss Cora Moore, whom Ames people knew so well, died of consumption at her home in Davenport, two daughters and one son are still in Davenport to comfort that bereaved widowed mother. Miss Cora had many friends in Ames who regret to learn of this fact. Cora was a member of the Congregational church while here, and she will long be remembered by all who knew her.
