Slater News: ....Rev. Linn of Dayton, Ia., was called to Slater last Friday to conduct the funeral services of Mrs. Geo. Burkey, whom he had married nine years ago in the same house. Mr. Linn stayed over night with his daughter, Mrs. Aug. Peterson, returning home Saturday morning.
