Peter “Ole” Ryan

October 20, 1884 – September 25, 1955

P. Ole Ryan, Ontario, died Saturday (Sept. 25, 1955) at 4 PM at Mary Greeley Hospital. He was 70.

Mr. Ryan had been in the hospital two days. He had lived in the Ontario community 35 years. He was employed by Ames Reliable Feed Company the past 19 years.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Manly, IA.

Mr. Ryan was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church here. Rosary was recited at Duckworth-Stevens Funeral Home Sunday night. Rosary service will be tonight at 8 PM at Bride funeral home in Manly. Burial will be in Manly.

Mr. Ryan was born October 29, 1884 in Plymouth. He was married to Lydia Stangler February 8 1912, in Plymouth.

He is survived by two sons, Ed of Ames and Hillary of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Ed Stangler, and a brother, Bill, Oakfield, WI.
