The Ames Watchman

Tuesday afternoon a boy named Carl Oleson was drowned in Squaw Creek just below town. It appears that he and som other boys were in swimming when he in some way met his death. The boys who were with him returned home saying nothing about his loss, until after he had been missed and his clothes found. He was then hunted after and the body found.
