From Story County Watchman December 19, 1890

DIED.--On Sunday last Lyman Dinsmore died at his residence just south of town. The funeral was held Tuesday and the remains were laid to rest amidst the sorrow of relatives and friends. He has been a resident of this place for a large number of years and ws highly esteemed for his sterling qualities and will be missed greatly.

Lyman M. Dinsmore was a native of North Georgetown, Ohio, and was born May 12th, 1848. He came with his mother's family to Nevada in the spring of 1869, since which time he has resided on the home farm just south of town. The illness of which he died was rheumatic in its character and of long duration. He was a great but patient sufferer. He was unmarried and leaves a mother, two brothers and four sisters to mourn his loss. He will be greatly missed by the home circle of which he was a leading member, and by his neighbors and acquaintances.
