DIED--In Newton, Iowa, on Sunday last J. R. Boyd, aged 80 years. Mr. Boyd was born in Tennessee and came to Iowa in 1856 and has resided in Jasper county the most of the time. He was the father of Messrs. Boyd of this place and has spent a portion of each year with them for several years and is quite well known to all here.
