The Ames Watchman

The wife of Mr. John Watts, deputy collector of internal revenue, died at midnight Sunday, after a severe illness of two or three weeks duration. Mrs. Watts was a woman whose love of home and children kept her home from much social intercourse, but those who were privileged to meet her will remember her as a devoted mother, whose home was her kingdom, and who found beneath her own roof ample opportunities of usefulness. The bereaved family have the heartfelt sympathy of all who know them. The funeral will take place from the house on Seventeenth at 2 p. m. to-day.--Leader 19.
