From Story County Watchman September 9, 1887

DIED--On the 29th ult, Hattie, daughter of John W. and Maggie Hoover aged four years. This dear child had suffered many months from an aggravated form of spinal disease, which resulted in her death. Funeral services conducted by Wm. Lewis of the Friend's church. Interment in McCallsburg cemetery.
