On Friday word was received here, that Harry Pattee, a former resident here, had committed suicide at Fort Dodge on Thursday. He was traveling for a Dubuque House, and had about $1000 of the money belonging to them. The reason given was gambling.

Ed. Brown, a former resident of Nevada, but now of Hastings, Neb. was in town Monday shaking hands with old friends and acquaintances. He was enroute for Webster City where the family of Harry Pattee resides.
