Drake S. Bosworth (ca. 1861-1885)

On Wednesday the funeral of L. M. Bosworth* took place. Mr. Bosworth died on Tuesday at the age of 64 years. He saw much service in the war of the rebellion, and was a member of Ellsworth Post G. A. R., who turned out in force to do him honor. The Post met and escorted the remains from his late residence to the Congregational Church where services were held by Rev. Moulton who preached an excellent sermon, after which the remains were taken to the Cemetery and there interred. Mr. Bosworth had been a resident of Ames for years, and was esteemed as a thorough gentleman and business man and one whose loss will be felt by the entire community. The sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved family.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: From the date of death, age and residence, this is obviously a note on the death of Drake S. Bosworth. He had a son, L. M. Bosworth which the paper obviously confused with the deceased.
