DIED:--On Sunday last after a brief illness at his residence in Story City, Mr. Lewis Charleson aged about -- Mr. Charleson was born in the State of Illinois, and moved to this county many years ago, and has become identified with the interests of Story City and the county, and his place will hardly be filled. He was of the firm of Swan & Charleson, who are engaged in milling, general merchandise and banking. He stood high in the community for his personal worth and sterling integrity, and last though not least, was one of the leading Democrats in the county, having been the nominee of his party for supervisor of the county last fall receiving 111 to 82 for his opponent in that township, the vote on the State ticket standing Sherman 100, and Kinne 88, Weaver 8. He was buried on Friday last and a large concourse followed the remains to the grave.
