DIED.--On Sunday evening, of Diphtheria, Lottie Meek, daughter of Wm. and Esther Meek of Waterloo, Indiana, aged four years. She was here with her mother visiting her grandparents, the family of Major Hawthorn, and was at the residence of her uncle, Isaac Hawthorn, in the northeast part of Nevada township at the time. The remains were interred in the cemetery, on Monday with appropriate ceremonies, conducted by Rev. Thornbrue. The parents and relatives are bowed with grief by this act of Providence, and have the sympathy of all.
