Mrs. Ross, 83, Dies Wednesday

Mrs. Mary Belle Ross, 83, 215 S. Maple Ave., died Wednesday at 7:15 a. m. at Youngs Rest Home here She had been at the home seven months.

A lifetime resident of the community, Mrs. Ross was born June 15, 1873, in Story County. She was married to Arthur E. Ross March 28, 1894, at Ontario.

Survivors are a son, Russell, Kelley; four daughters--Mrs. Mable Richter, Ames; Mrs. Gladys Mendell, Des Moines; Mrs. Mildred Hanna, Mason City; and Mrs. Doris Swanson, Minneapolis; brother Charles Tripp, Grand Junction, Colo.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be Friday at 2 p. m. at Duckworth-Stevens Funeral Home with Rev. LaVerne Ervin of First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Ontario Cemetery.

The body will lie in state this evening at the funeral home.
