Ada Patterson, 97, of Cambridge, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at the Story County Long Term Care in Nevada.

Ada was born July 30, 1913 in Rural Jasper County, Iowa. She graduated from Farrar High School. She married Harold Patterson at Newton on April 30, 1936. Ada was a member of the Cambridge United Methodist Church, Dorcus Society and the Yours and Mine Card Club. She enjoyed reading, walking and watching baseball and football.

Ada is survived by her daughter, Linda (Richard) Longnecker of Cambridge; her daughter-in-law, Judy Patterson of Cambridge; her son-in-law, Roger Deal of Nevada; her sister, Eva Mae Sampson of Cambridge; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Tuffy; her daughter, Margaret Deal; three brothers; three sisters.

Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010, at the Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell with Pastor Andrea Severson officiating; interment followed at the Cambridge Cemetery. Visitation was held on Friday evening at the funeral home in Maxwell.

Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell is handling arrangements.
