Kathleen Hickox, 54, of Ames, died Tuesday, Nov 9, 2010, surrounded by her friends and family at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. A gathering of friends and family will be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov 13, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way in Ames.
Memorials may be directed to a fund at First National Bank of Ames.

Kathleen Hickox, 54, of Ames, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, surrounded by her friends and family at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. A gathering of friends and family will be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way in Ames.
Kathleen was born Aug. 16, 1956, at Steward Air Force Base in Smyrna, Tenn., the daughter of James and Lois (Cordry) Hickox. She graduated from high school and received her CNA. She enjoyed garage sales and collecting tea pots and playing Yahtzee. She and her husband, Lyle, have lived in Ames for 15 years.
She is survived by her husband, Lyle Tiegen, of Ames; children, Jason (Kim) Corbin, of Nevada, Orion (Kelli) Corbin, of Dothan, Ala., Tenielle (Zeb) Stanbrough, of Dike, Danielle (Jason) Bell, of Kansas City, and Chris (Josh) Brown; two stepchildren, Lylia (Audencio) Ramos, of Omaha, and Mike Tiegen, of Ames; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Roger Hickox, of Priest River, Idaho; and one sister, DeAnne Hickox, of Long Mont, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; very special father-in-law, Clarence (Tiny) Johnson; and close friend, Barb Decker.
Memorials may be directed to a fund at First National Bank of Ames.
