Patricia B. McIntosh, 79, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Colonial Manor in Zearing, IA.

Pat, daughter of Clarence and Sylvia (Elliott) Bump was born on March 22, 1931, in Zearing, IA.

Pat graduated from Lincoln Township High School in 1949 and went on to Westmar College in Le Mars where she earned an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. While working full time, she attended Drake University during summers to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in 1968.

Pat married John T. McIntosh at the Christian Church in Zearing on June 21, 1952. To this union were born three children, John David, Donald and Rhonda.

Pat taught school in Colo, Collins and West Marshall for over 30 years. She was then the first Director of Colo Community Pre School, a role she filled for 25 years.

Pat took great pride in watching her former students go on and succeed in school and life. She also loved to brag about her grandchildren.

Pat was a long time member of the Colo United Methodist Church.

Pat is survived by her son John David (Hiroko), Bremerton, WA, daughter Rhonda (Mike) Smith, Ankeny, daughter in law Deborah McIntosh (Frank) Flaherty, Forest Lake, MN, and eight grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her son Donald and her husband John.

Visitation will be held at the Colo United Methodist Church on Sunday, November 14, 2010 from 3-5 pm, and a memorial service will be held on November 15 at 10:30 at the church.

Interment will be in the Colo Cemetery.

The Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing, Iowa is in charge of funeral arrangements.
