THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Saturday, November 6, 2010.

Tom Denney, 71, of Jewell, died Thursday, Nov. 4, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 7, at Brown Funeral Home in Churdan. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 8, at United Methodist Church in Churdan, with burial in Highland Cemetery at Churdan.

Tom lived in Churdan from 1967 to 1994, and operated lumberyards in Churdan and Scranton. He and his wife, Joann, moved to Jewell in 1994, and Tom worked for Munn’s Lumber in Ames. Joann Denney passed away in 2000, and Tom continued to make his home in Jewell.

Tom is survived by his daughter, Jolene (Stuart) Voga, of Jewell; grandson, Cody; and sister, Shirley (Gayle) Black, of Missouri.
