MAXWELL – Harry B. Kimberley, 82, of Maxwell, died at his home on Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Funeral services were held at the Farrar United Methodist Church on Tuesday, October 19th.
Harry was born August 29, 1928 near Collins, Iowa to Isaiah and Beatrice (Frey) Kimberley. In 1946, Harry graduated from Farrar High School and married Kathleen McGill. Harry and Kathleen were married for 40 years of until her death in 1986. Harry was united in marriage with Elaine Elliott Coffin on September 7, 1996. Harry, a life-long farmer and cattleman, was a member of the Skunk River Levee Board, and Polk County Cattleman’s Association Harry displayed his love for the Lord through his active membership at Farrar United Methodist Church, where he served as a trustee.
Harry is survived by his wife, Elaine, of Maxwell; his children: Kevin (Amy) Kimberley of Maxwell, Paul (Lori) Coffin of Battleground, WA; Rebecca (Terry) Holdridge of Ankeny, Sherry Occhuizzo of Mesa, AZ, Catherine Kimberley and Kristine Kimberley both of Urbandale, his nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren: and his sisters: Ruth McGinnis of Marshalltown and Alice Kimberley of Lawrence, KS.
Preceding Harry in death were: his parents; his first wife, Kathleen; his brothers: Frank, Melvin, John and Boyd; his sisters: Mary Anne Myers and Helen Karpenski; and his step-son: Mark Coffin.
Memorials may be made to the Farrar United Methodist Church.
The Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell handled arrangements.
