STORY COUNTY PIONEER GONE

Saturday evening at his home four miles northwest of Gilbert, Father Turner passed from this life, aged 82 years, six months and fifteen days. Born in Greenoch, Scotland, October 11, 1830. He was married to Margaret Moody and in 1858 they with their family emigrated to America. In 1872 they came to Iowa. The last forty years have been spent here in Boone county on the same farm.

Ten children were born to them, four of whom survive.
