MRS. JAMES MYERS
Sarah Ellen Dixon was born April 28, 1848 of Spring Grove Wisconsin, and departed this life at ther home near Colo, Iowa, April 28, 1919, aged 71 years, the day of her death being her birthday. She was of a family of seven having three brothers and three sisters; one brother, Albert and one sister Margaret having preceded her in death.
On September 18, 1870 she was united in marriage to James Myers. To this union were born two children: Mrs. Rosella Harrison of Nevada, Iowa and Chester Myers of Colo. In the year 1886 they moved to Cambridge and in 1908 they came to the farm near Colo, Iowa, where on June 21, 1911, Mr. Myers passed away. Since his death she has continued to live on the farm with her son Chester enjoying apparent good health until a few days before her death. She was a good wife, a faithful and loving mother, and a true friend.
Those who will mourn her loss are: her son and daughter, two brothers David and Frank Dixon of Evansville and Madison Wisconsin; two sisters, Mrs. Mandy Frazee, and Mrs. Josephine Rowley both of Evansville Wisconsin. Four grandchildren and two great grandchildren, besides other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held at the home by Rev. W. C. McKinley from Psalms 90:10 and her body was laid to rest by the side of her husband in the Nevada Cemetery.
