OBITUARY
Death of Mrs. H. W. Mullen
Mrs. Ella Mullen died at four o'clock this morning at the family home in the southwest part of Nevada, after an illness of about a week. A fall on the ice in her yard about a year ago caused injury to her head from which she has suffered at times since, the trouble at the beginning of the fatal attack taking the form of gatherings with discharge from her ears. Mr. Mullen has been visiting relatives in Colorado and is still away, but is expected home this evening, and the funeral will probably be held on Thursday at an hour yet to be determined.
Mrs. Mullen was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elzy Farrington, one of the middle children in the large family which those early settlers reared in the vicinity of Nevada, and her age was forty-six. She leaves, besides her husband, her grown sons Cecil and Archie and her nine-year-old daughter Enid. The deceased won the kind regard of those who knew her, and the bereaved have due sympathy.

Funeral of Mrs. Mullen
The funeral of Mrs. H. W. Mullen was held Thursday afternoon at the Church of Christ, service being conducted by Rev. G. W. Mullen of Des Moines, and a large audience joining sympathetically with the bereaved. The speaker paid tribute to a beautiful life, one given to love and service, spoke of the emptiness of words when such a personality has become only a memory, of the refuge and rest with divine love affords for sorrow, of the hope and cheer afforded by faith in immortality, and the exortation with death utters ato the living. The choir sang tenderly, "O think of the home over there," and then mortality passed to its long rest.
