THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, September 21, 2010.

Clair Emmett Walter, 71, of Boone, passed away Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at the Boone County Hospital in Boone. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, at the Walter-Schroeder Funeral Home at Fifth and Story Streets in Boone. A time of visitation with the family present will be from noon until the time of service Tuesday. Following the memorial service in Boone, full military honors will be conducted by the Boone Veterans Council at the Veterans Monument and U.S. Flag Pole in the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone. There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Presbyterian Church, 109 S. Third. Ave. in Villisca, for family and friends in that area. Burial will be in Bluff Creek Cemetery, N.W. Boone County at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the family to be used at their discretion.
