THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, September 10, 2010.
Ramona Ann Poulsen, 82, of Mountain Home, Ark., died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home. Funeral services were Aug. 25 at Blaney Funeral Home in Green Bay, Wis.
Ramona Ann and twin Ronald Dean Olson were born May 18, 1928, near Ames to Emil and Randa (Bauge) Olson. They attended North Grant School and graduated from Ames High School in 1946.
She married Einer Poulsen in June 1949 and was a teacher’s aide at Rock Ledge Elementary School in Seymour, Wis. She enjoyed singing and sang with the Sweet Adelines.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Larry) Biddle, of Mountain Home, Ark.; son, Brad (Cindy) Poulsen, of Greenleaf, Wis.; son, Bruce Poulsen, of Green Bay, Wis.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Koch, of Oswego, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; twin brother, Ronald Dean Olson; and brother Wallace Olson, who died at Iwo Jima.
Arrangements were made by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services in Mountain Home, Ark., and by Blaney Funeral Home in Green Bay, Wis.
