Glenn “Rocky” Roxberg, 80, passed away Monday, Aug. 9, from cholangio cancer.
Glenn was born on November 17, 1929 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota to Grace (Hazen) and Andrew Roxberg. Glenn moved to Denmark, Iowa when his father passed away in 1940. With the remarriage of his mother, they moved to Sheldahl and became part of the Nels Lund family.
Glenn was stationed in Germany during the Korean War, serving in the medical corps. Glenn lived most of his life in Des Moines. He received his BS in Marketing from Drake University. His lifelong career was as a pharmaceutical representative. During retirement he worked at Toad Valley Golf Course. His hobbies included golf, traveling, reading and his garden; planting 50 or more dahlias each year. Glenn was a class act with a gentle demeanor. He had a quick wit and could tell a joke with flourish.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Janice Schaudt Roxberg, their children Lynn (Stan) Ethington, Lorie (Bill) Moreton, Steven (Linda) Roxberg, Sue (Jim) Cornick and 7 grandchildren.
