Brenda J. Lumpkins, 53, of Wilburton, Okla., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at her home in Wilburton. A rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at Sacred Heart Church in Wilburton. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at Panola High School Auditorium in Panola, Okla., with the Rev. Joshua E. Litwack, the Rev. Barry Collins and the Rev. April Coates officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Brenda was born Oct. 17, 1956, in Dodge City, Kan., the daughter of Emma Kay (Schwartz) and Carl Hemkin. She married Alan Lumpkins on June 20, 1981, in Dodge City, Kan. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church of Wilburton, Okla.
She is survived by her husband, Alan; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine and Tony Trenkamp, of Spearville, Kan., and Deanna and Mike Hay-Moxey, of Highlands Ranch, Colo; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services are under the direction of Waldrop Funeral Home in Wilburton, Okla.
