Mrs. Odell, Mother Of Military Head, Dies Here Thursday

Mrs. Virna Glasscock Odell, 86, died at 8:45 a. m., Thursday at the home of her son, Col. H. R. Odell, head of the military department of Iowa State college.

Mrs. Odell was born Jan. 1, 1849, in Wisconsin and came to Ames about two and one-half years ago to live with her son at 3201 Oakland street.

She is survived by three sons, Charles E. of Cordell, Okla., Dr. I. H. of Des Moines and Col. Odello of Ames.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a. m., Saturday from the Adams chapel, with the Rev. Leroy S. Burroughs, pastor of St. John's church, in charge. Burial will be at Sac city.
