WAITE, FORMER AMES RESIDENT, IS DEAD

Funeral services for W. F. Waite, 76, former Ames resident, were held Sunday at Oakland, Ia., it was learned here Monday. Burial was at Miles.

Waite died at his home at Oakland Friday. The Waite family moved from Ames about four years ago after residing at 116 Campus avenue for eight years. While here the Waites were active in the work of the First Methodist church.

Surviving him are his wife and five children, Eloise of Detroit Mich., Ralph of Port Arthur, Texas, Mrs. Eva Strethman of Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. Ruth Hiner of Minneapolis, Minn., and Marjorie of Oakland. Four grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Waite will be at the home of Mrs. G. E. Hiner, 2514 Chamberlain street, probably between noon and 2 p. m., Wednesday. Friends who wish to see her are asked to call Mrs. Hiner, telephone 2071W.
