Mrs. Minnie Davis, 75, Former Local Resident, Is Dead

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie M. Davis, 75, Ames resident for a number of years, were held Tuesday afternoon at Sioux City, it was learned here Friday. Burial was at Sioux City.

Mrs. Davis died at her home in Sioux City Sunday evening following a paralytic stroke.

She was born Feb. 6, 1861 in Ohio and when a child she moved with her parents to Boaz, Wis. She was married to Joe E. Davis Oct 25, 1881 in Boaz and in 1895 the couple moved to Ames. Mr. Davis conducted a hardware business at 231 Main street until his death in 1912.

Mrs. Davis was a member of the Laura Chapter, O. E. S. in Ames and of the Christian Science church in Sioux City.

Surviving her are her son, Dwight of Sioux City, and two granddaughters of Sioux City.
