RITES SUNDAY FOR MRS. BELCHER, 82
(From unidentified newspaper)Services for Mrs. Ida May Belcher, 82, Nevada, who died Thursday at the Anderson Nursing home in Altoona, will be at the Cooper Funeral home in Maxwell at 2 p.m. Sunday.
The Rev. Ray Baker(1), Granger, Mrs. Belcher’s nephew, will officiate. Burial will be in Iowa Center cemetery.
A lifelong resident of Story county, Mrs. Belcher was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church of Iowa Center.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ada Pearson(2), Des Moines; two sons, Clark Belcher, Des Moines, and Maurice Belcher, St. James, Minn.; sister, Mrs. Carrie Fair(3), Los Angeles, Cal.; brother, J.G. Whitaker, Nevada, and three grandchildren.

Ida Belcher was born Jan. 13, 1871, and died September 10, 1953. Services, arranged by Cooper Funeral Home, were held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, September 13, 1953. Music was provided by Mrs. James Summitt. Casket bearers were Milton Mohr, Madison Shryock, Carl Hill, Van Busenburg, Emmett Scott, and Frank Hill. Interment was at Iowa Center cemetery.1. Ray Baker was married to Mattie (Whitaker) Baker, daughter of Ida’s brother, John Grant Whitaker.
2. After the death of her husband Eric Pearson, Ada (Belcher) Pearson married Floyd Boggs.
3. Carrie/Caroline (Whitaker) Fair was Ida’s half sister. Carrie’s parents were Samuel and Laura (Densmore) Whitaker. Ida's parents were Samuel and Harriet Priscilla (Miller) Whitaker. Carrie’s husband was I.D. "Lou" Fair.
