THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Saturday, August 7, 2010.

Ardyce L. Peterson, 86, of Randall, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at Elim Lutheran Church in Randall. Burial will be at a later date in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Randall.

Ardyce was born April 24, 1924, in Kelley, to Miller and Murna (Johnson) Grimsley. She lived in Randall most of her life and was a member of Elim Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Solberg (Butch), of Jewell, and Joyce Whitcomb (David), of Eldridge; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, James A. Peterson; one daughter, Kathy Igo; one brother, Curtis Grimsley; one sister, Rhoda Grubb; and one special friend, LaVerne Lentzkow.

Memorials may be made to Elim Lutheran Church.

Soderstrum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
