July 5, 1934 - Nov. 24, 1988Marvin Leo Hagen, 54, Las Vegas, Nevada, died of a heart ailment Thursday in Las Vegas. Funeral services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Johnson of the Evangelical Free Church officiating. Burial will be in Story Memorial Gardens.
Marvin Hagen was born in Story County to Martin and Edith (Whiteman) Hagen. He attended Ames schools and was employed as a lineman for Iowa Power and Light Company. He left the Ames area in 1962. A veteran of the Korean War, he was also a member of the American Legion and V.F.W., Fremont, Neb., and F.O.E.
Survivors include two sons, Timothy Leo Hagen of Glenwood and Thomas Harold Hagen of Lakewood, Calif.; three daughters, Laurie Ann Hagen and Larenda Hagen, both of Omaha, Neb., and Lucinda Hagen of Long Branch, Calif; one sister, Marilyn Markley of Ames; two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
