FLOYD KINGMAN OF COLLINS SUCCUMBS

COLLINS - Floyd C. Kingman, 49, died at his homer here Monday morning at 11:30 following a stroke he suffered at 9 a. m. He did not regain consciousness.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the Harbach Funeral home in Des Moines. The Rev. Charles Mordy, pastor of the Cottage Grove Presbyterian church, Des Moines, will have charge of the service. Burial will be in the GLendale cemetery at Des Moines.

Mr. Kingman was born in Des Moines and educated in the public schools there. He was graduated from Iowa State college in agricultural engineering. Following his graduation he went to the Philippine islands and worked on agricultural projects for the United States government. He was stationed at Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, for six years where he engaged in agricultural extension work.

In 1933 he returned to the United States and purchased the R. D. McCord farm northwest of Collins where he has since made his home.

Mr. Kingman was a member of the Collins school board and township chairman of the farm bureau organization.

He is survived by his wife; a son, John, 12 years old; a sister, Mrs. Flora Glasser of Des Moines; and a brother, Col. M. H. Kingman of Pontico, Va.
