MRS IDA MAY COX OF AMES SUCCUMBS

Funeral services for Mrs. Ida May Cox, 75, who died at the Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines early Monday morning, will be held at the Ashton cemetery chapel north of Mingo, Wednesday at 2 p. m. The body will lie in state at the Harbach funeral home in Des Moines until Wednesday noon.

Death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage. Mrs. Cox had been ill for three weeks.

A lifetime resident of Iowa, Mrs. Cox was born at Clyde in Jasper county where she lived about 35 years. She taught school in Polk and Jasper counties for 20 years. Since the death of her husband in 1918, she had made her home with her sons in California, Denver, and for the past three years at Ames.

She was a member of the Unitarian church, the D. A. R. Fontanelle chapter of the Eastern Star at Omaha, Neb., the W. C. T. U., the Methodist Ladies Aid society, and the Neighborly club of Ames.

Two sons, Irwin W. Cox of Denver and Lawrence W. Cox, 611 Hodge avenue, Ames, survive.
