Elmer O. Hagen Dies Suddenly Saturday Night
Elmer Obed Hagen, 44, of 540 East Second Street, passed away very suddenly at the Lincoln Inn Restaurant Saturday evening at 7:15 p.m. from coronary thrombosis.
He was born on Jan. 20, 1901 south of Roland and has lived in Story county all his life. He did tiling work.
On Nov. 1, 1924 he was married to Faye Kuhn at Boone, IA.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, at 2 o'clock at the Adams Chapel. Rev. Alfred Barker will be in charge and burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, and three sons, AS Charles Hagen at the Great Lakes Naval Training Station, Chicago, and Anton and Donald at home; three daughters, Constance, Alberta, and Eleanor at home; three brothers, Martin and Lester of Ames, and Jeffrey of Los Angeles, Cal.; two sisters Anna and Agnes of Ames, and his mother Mrs. Ellen Hagen of Ames.
