James Herbert Berglund, 79 of Nevada, died on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the Story County Medical Center in Nevada. Graveside services, with full military rites, were held in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

James was born on June 20, 1931 in Chicago, IL to Erik Herbert and Hildur (Carlson) Berglund. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. James was employed for Boston Gear while living in Chicago. He enjoyed camping and photography.

James is survived by his daughter, Julia Anne Armato of Nevada and a son, James Herbert Berglund II of San Diego, CA; 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

James was preceded in death by his parents.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada was entrusted with the care of James and his family.
