THE NEVADA JOURNAL, Nevada, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, July 8, 2010.

Hannah Kellogg Dowell, a resident of Washington, D.C., and daughter of a founding Nevada family, passed away May 18, 2010, at age 92. She will be laid to rest in the Dowell family plot in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. A memorial reception will be held at the Dyer Dowell House, 922 Fifth Street, Nevada, Iowa, on Saturday, July 17, at 10:30 a.m. Refreshments will be served.
