THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, July 9, 2010.

Polly K. Ross, 74, of Ames, died Saturday, June 3, 2010, at Mary Greeley Medical Center. No services are being planned at this time.

Born Sept. 6, 1935, in Rochester, Pa., the daughter of Ross G. and Douthat Kistler, Polly graduated from University of Akron with a bachelor’s in elementary education. On Nov. 21, 1956, she married Dale H. Ross in Akron, Ohio. The couple moved to Ames in 1963.

Polly is survived by her husband; her devoted children, Bret Ross, of Ames, David (Sandra) Ross, of Cedar Rapids, and Wendy (Mark) Bergeson, of Nevada; and her beloved grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher and Brooke. Her brother, Richard D. Kistler, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, also survives her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ross Kistler Jr.
